When it comes to sea kayaks, we think it is vital to try out as many boats as possible before you buy one, so we maintain one of the largest demo fleets in the country featuring world-class kayaks from Rockpool and SKUK.
The demo fleet is available for you to try out on Lochs Gilp and Fyne, launching from the slip right beside our Ardrishaig shop. Alternatively, we can arrange for boats to be taken to Tayvallich (Loch Sween) or Carsaig (Sound of Jura) for you to try out there.

If you need a little bit of extra support to boost your confidence while trying out one of our kayaks, we can arrange for experienced local kayaking coach Dave Wilkinson to accompany you.
Simply let us know in advance when booking your demo and Dave will take you out for up to an hour as part of your boat trial session - all part of the Argyll Kayaks service.

We have a selection of SOTs and SUPs for customers to try. If you've always fancied giving a sit on top or a stand up paddle board a go, get in touch! Our demo fleet has RTM Mojito sit on tops and RTM PE Koa (310cm) and PE 10' Freeze (300cm) stand up paddle boards. For your demo session we provide appropriate paddles and buoyancy aids. To book a session, give us a call or email to reserve a place.
It's a great chance to see products that we stock in action. We have a selection of kayaks fitted with Flat Earth Kayaks Sails - a whole new world of fun! Try them out on the water with a Werner Paddle, Celtic Paddle or Ainsworth Paddle.
We also arrange offsite demo days where you’ll be able to try out kayaks and paddles from our range. Any upcoming demo days will be announced on both the website and our Facebook page. Let us know if your club, group or even just yourself would like us to visit your area and we'll do our best.
