Excited to announce that Dave Wilkinson will be joining us to offer on the water safety, guiding and coaching. Dave has worked in the outdoor industry for many years now. hes's a BCU kayak coach level IV, BCU open canoe coach level II and BCU canoe leader. He's worked with all ages and different skill levels and importantly has a great knack of relaxing folks. Being on the water is meant to be fun after all!
Before I met Dave, I mentioned his name to a couple of friends who knew him- they both smiled (in a good way!) and I knew all would be fine going forward. Since then he's been very helpful with customers in the shop sharing his knowledge on the local area and advising on kit. Recently, he provided on the water cover for Margaret who was trying out a demo kayak. Being knew to kayaking, Dave was able to offer reassurance and coaching tips to improve the demo session.
Going forward we have plans for demo days and also running half day and day trips out in the local waters calling on Dave's interest in history, geology, flora and fauna to make for a great trip! For overseas customers, we can offer a package of high end hire kayaks from Sea Kayaking UK and Rockpool Kayaks with the option of your very own tour guide!
